New A51 Custom MapPack

In case you haven't heard, Learning *A51* has taken everyones requests and was gracious enough to put together a HUGE new MapPack for use on the A51 FFA server, and Elim now has it up to download.
It weighs in at a hefty 520 Megs, but the maps are all based on requests so dont be left out, go grab it.

Note: Some have reported problems downloading this file. Just RIGHT-CLICK, then SAVE-AS, this should avoid any issues. Its in the Files section at Left, in the FFA Folder. The file name is a51map-pak3.rar

Night of a Thousand Frags!!!

Team Area51's "Night of a Thousand Frags" Saturday May 10th!!!!!!! Starting at 10pm est. Come have fun! Record demo's! Remember the legendary night!! We will either do 1,051 frag limit , or , one 525 game and one 526 game. Wether we play one game or 2 will be decided at the begining. Limited spots available. Please send me , M0NK3Y , a PM to claim a spot. During the game/games the server will be password protected. So make sure you let me know! DEW EET! Oh and don't forget..... BRING A (comfortable)LAWNCHAIR , BROTHERRRRR!!!!

FRAG O' THON! 5/6/2005 -- 1000 frag limit.

Friday night 5/6/05 we will have at least one round of our A51 Frag O' Thon! What is that you ask??? Complete and total chaos! I will open the INSTA server up to 50 clients, and put it on DM17 with 0 timelimit, and 1000 fraglimit. Everyone better rest up, and use the bathroom before we start! Be sure to invite all of your insta playing frineds, and this should be a blast! The field should be tough from early reports of who is going to show. We will be kicking this off around 8:30 - 9:00 eastern, so be sure to get some warmup time, and I hope to see you all then! There are 2 kinds of people in this type of match... The quick, and the dead! :)

Congrats to TEAM 1 on the CTFx finals Win!!!

The championship round for ctfx division 2 was won in a 2 game sweep by the A51 CTFx Team1. With otis, ment, fokov, and own-age playing. And icarus as their fearless coach. And GG to TEAM2 for their help with everything from scrims to practice to filling in! You all rock! GGZ!

Demos Wanted For a Quake Movie

I will be making a VERY SIMPLE quake movie with footage from the A51 community and the Elite community, and would like anyone who wants to to send me some demos with highlight footage. Please send any demos with footage you want to be in the movie to me at vincent_price2000@yahoo.com. Please read my post concerning this topic in the General Info section of the A51 forum before sending any demos and for additional information.

I've setup a voting page for the ctf'ers to vote on which maps they would want to see in the rotation. Submit your vote at: http://a51.own-age.com/
The results will help us determine a new rotation and we will base the rotation off the votes in the future. You can only vote once and you can't change your vote once you've saved it right now so make it count. gl hf

Map Additions to CTF Server

This is a little informative piece to let you all know that there is a change in the ctf rotation and an addition to the server. As alot of you have asked for the chicken team pak, it is now up on the server and ctctf2 & ctctf3 is in rotation.
I have removed the unsightly 3w maps and I think I got them all but if you think of any others, let us know in the ctf forum.

Insta MapPack Download

The new maps for the InstaGib server are now available for download. Go grab em at:

There are a total of 18 new maps in the rotation for your fragging pleasure. Extract the files into your quake3/baseq3 folder, then hop on the Insta Server! Enjoy!

Insta Server Revamped

Our own resident "WOLF" has taken the time and energy to do some revamping of the A51 Instagib Server.
Some changes Include new maps (downloads should now be 'ON' for the server, with a possible MapPack to follow), Use of the grapple on some space maps, invisible spawn protection, Invisiblity Powerup on some maps, and other goodies.

So stop by the Insta Server @ 216.12.23.254 and check it out!
